Third Party Collections

Third party collections can only be made once cleared funds are received by Grays.

Grays staff will not release the goods to anyone other than you unless they carry the appropriate authority. If you wish to send a third party to collect your goods on your behalf, they will need to have a copy of your Winner's Email, a photocopy of your photo ID and a letter signed by you authorising them to collect the goods on your behalf.

Why use Truckit.net for backloads?

The aim of truckit.net is to connect customers who require any item big or small delivered anywhere across Australia with transit providers who are able to carry out the work. Jobs are created based on customer requirements and providers are able to make quotes for jobs. The customer is then able to choose their most preferable provider and quote to complete the delivery.

Do I need to specify my job as a ‘Backload’?

No you don’t. This is not a specific category in the marketplace as a Backload is not category or item specific. Backloading is more defined by your urgency and budget for the job. Even then, many Providers will not refer to a job as a Backload. Some Providers will argue there is no such thing as a Backload due to the fact that the cost to do the trip is the same no matter what. Therefore many in the industry are opposed to using the term Backloading and will quote according to the actual cost.

How many backload quotes will I receive?

There is no set amount of quotes you will receive for your freight listing. There are a number of factors that can affect how many quotes provided by operators. This includes but not limited to, timing, availability, urgency of delivery, size of item, initial budget offering and pickup/delivery requirements.

What items can I backload?

Backloading is a very general term that includes any item that is delivered on the return journey of a truck. So when you ask what items can you backload? Well pretty much anything that you can fit on a truck.

Is there a minimum budget for backloads?

There are currently no minimum budget requirements however Truckit.net does encourage responsible budget offerings for the purpose of ensuring all our providers adhere to safe transport practices. There is a minimum cost to ensure those standards are met.

Will I save money by using a backload?

Truckit.net provides a platform for you to receive multiple quotes on the costs of delivering your items anywhere in Australia. It is totally up to the customer to choose which quote suits. We find that due to load sharing customers have saved costs on delivery of items. Costs are able to be reduced through not having to hire a truck to specifically move something yourself

Can anybody backload my listed items?

Unless you are a registered and approved provider of truckit.net, you will not be able to conduct any backload transport jobs. You can apply to be an approved backload provider here.

Do you need Single Transit Insurance for Backloads?

Single Transit Insurance is a great way to protect yourself from potential risks. It is up to the customer whether to purchase transit insurance for the delivery of your goods or not. Truckit.net however recommends the use of Single Transit Insurance. We understand that accidents do happen and you can’t control the actions of every driver on the road.

How long do backloads take?

Every backload is dependent on a number of factors so no job will have a fixed time. Each of the providers on truckit.net will have different schedules and availability. There are options when creating a listing on truckit.net that allow you to specify the time frame in which you require your items to be delivered. Operators will provide quotes based on the type of product and urgency of your delivery requirements.
